Forsythia

The local forsythia blossoms, although later than usual, have started to flourish throughout the valley.

Forsythia is such a nice flowering bush. I used to have some large ones but now I just have dwarf ones.

You can start new bushes by taking one small limb about 12-16 inches long, find a relatively shady or moist place that gets some sun and stick the limb into the ground as far as you can push it and it will leave out and grow into a wonderful bush.

One of my favourite shrubs, and one that I don't have in my garden. Each year I promise myself...This one is like a beacon announcing spring.
