Demoltion

The Okanagan Valley is well known for it's world class wineries and vineyards. Our abundance of local orchards are constantly being converted from fruit bearing trees into vineyards. Here a parcel of fruit bearing apple trees is biting the dust so to speak.

So sad. My sister's husband's family had apples and then grapes and now walnuts and her som is putting in more grapes so we will see who or what wins out. Sad to see the trees go down. One of the apple orchards near me went down last year. They kept a few trees and only sell cider. MB

So this means apple trees are just thrown away or are they replanted somewhere else?

Is there really so much more money in wine production? The vines are beautiful, but what a pity to destroy an orchard.
